Annual Medical Mission Trip to Mexico

The Sylvan Hills congregation in Sherwood, AR. is very involved in several mission points around the world including an annual Medical Mission Trip to Mexico. We work with medical professionals and Bible teachers who team up to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people there. As a result, people who have never before seen a doctor or dentist are treated by Christian health care workers. But even more importantly, during the last several years that Sylvan Hills has been going to Mexico, the Lord has blessed our efforts with almost 300 baptisms.

In addition to providing free medical services for the community, our group also conducts evangelistic Bible Studies as well as building houses and doing other construction work. There are also several Youth Groups who go on this trip with us to Mexico to conduct a VBS for the children throughout the week

Rio Bravo, Mexico

The Medical Mission Trip to Mexico has resulted in a new congregation that we call “The Ranch.” Additional land has been purchased and two other buildings have been built. We support Pablo Silva as the preacher there.

Cuba

Sylvan Hills Church of Christ began working with three Cuban preachers in 1999 after observing that a spiritual revival and receptivity to the Gospel was beginning to bear good fruit. Since then our level of involvement has increased to the selection of nine additional preachers and numerous evangelism outreach teachers and preachers in five of the eastern provinces.  Including that first year, there have been more than 3,500 baptisms reported. We make annual site visits to these churches to encourage our Cuban brothers and sisters and this has helped to foster a deep love with each other. … "The fields are indeed white unto harvest.'  "
