Back
Home in the Master's Hands
After
spending a mere five minutes in a store, concert
violinist Nicolas Orbovich returned to his unlocked car
only to discover his prized violin had been stolen from
the backseat. Made in 1892, the violin had been
appraised at $100,000. Losing it, according to Orbovich,
was like “losing an immediate family member.”
Fortunately, the violin was recovered by
police and taken back to its rightful owner. In the
hands of a thief, the violin was worth very little and
was bound for the shelves of a pawn shop. In Orbovich’s
hands, the same instrument amazed concert goers with
beautiful music.
Without a personal relationship with God,
we become the lost violin. Unable to fulfill the
purpose for which we were created, our life is then
filled with frustration and unrealized potential.
God appreciates the value of each soul.
Because your soul is of great worth to Him, He sent His
one and only Son to make your spiritual return home
possible (cf. Galatians 2:20). Back home under the
Lord’s direction, the music of your life can flourish.
Come to Christ – place your life in the Master’s hands –
and be prepared to be amazed at what He can do through
you!
